Our Light Farms builder includes a basic speaker package. Why upgrade?
Builder packages are usually two-channel ceiling speakers in three or four rooms with a basic streaming receiver. They do not include the matrix amplification, the subwoofers, the outdoor zones, or the orchestration that makes whole-home audio actually work.
Will the music in the great room bleed into the primary suite during entertaining?
Not if the zoning is right. We treat the primary suite as its own zone with its own volume and source. You can have the great room at hosting volume while the primary stays silent — or playing the late-night station you prefer.
Can the kids' rooms have volume limits the kids cannot override?
Yes. We set per-room volume caps in the system that the app respects. The kids can play whatever they want within their own ceiling. After the bedtime hour, the zone mutes itself on a schedule and the parents can override from the master.
We want the patio and the pool deck to play the same music as the kitchen. Is that just one zone?
It can be one zone or three, depending on how you entertain. We typically wire the kitchen, the covered patio, and the pool deck as separate zones that you can join into one group when you want everything together.
