A Windsong Ranch front-gate arrival, on camera
Gated communities in Prosper and Celina — Windsong Ranch, Star Trail, the gated sections of Mustang Lakes — change what front-of-home security has to do. The community gate handles strangers. Your personal front-gate or driveway camera handles deliveries, contractors, kids' friends, family arrivals, and the rare unannounced visitor who got buzzed through. We design the personal layer that lives on your property — high-resolution arrival coverage at the gate or driveway entry, a quality video doorbell with two-way audio, package detection at the front porch, and a clean live feed on your phone the moment anyone presents.
For new builds in Windsong or Light Farms we run the cabling during framing so the cameras sit cleanly in the soffits with no exposed conduit. For Prosper retrofits we pull through existing chases and finish back to invisible. The recorder lives in the equipment closet you built for the AV gear. Storage is local and you own it — no monthly subscription is required to view live or recorded footage. You see the gate before you decide to open it.
The Frustrations We Hear Most
- The community gate logs visitors but you have no visibility on your own property
- Packages are being left at the Prosper front door without any record of who delivered them
- The doorbell camera is wireless and battery-powered and dies every six weeks
- There is no coverage of the side yards or the rear gate to the pool deck
- The previous installer's gear is on a monthly subscription and the homeowner stopped paying
When the System Stops Listening
- The front-gate camera went offline the morning of a contractor visit
- The doorbell stopped pushing alerts and packages are arriving unnoticed
- The recorder failed and the home has been unrecorded for an unknown time
- A power surge took out the security closet and the entire camera ring is dark
How We Do It in Prosper & Celina
A property walk at arrival and delivery times — We walk your Prosper or Celina property at the times that matter — morning delivery, afternoon school pickup, evening arrival. The plan reflects the actual rhythm of your day.
A camera placement plan that respects the new-build aesthetic — Cameras tuck into the soffits and eaves of the modern Star Trail or Light Farms architecture. Conduit runs inside the wall during framing, or through existing chases on retrofits.
Front-gate or driveway-arrival specification — A dedicated camera at the gate or driveway entry with the lens and IR class for your specific arrival distance. License-plate readability where you want it.
Doorbell and porch coverage — Wired video doorbell with two-way audio and package detection. The porch is covered without three different battery-powered devices on the same wall.
Local recording and remote access — Network video recorder in the equipment closet, RAID storage sized for your camera count, secure remote access from your phone with no subscription dependency for core functionality.
A move-in walkthrough and quarterly checks — On move-in week we train the household. Quarterly health checks afterward catch the silent failures — full disks, defocused cameras, dead access points — before they become a gap in the record.
Who We Help in Prosper & Celina
- You, in Windsong Ranch, who wants front-gate arrival coverage even though the community is gated
- You, in Star Trail, with daily Amazon and Instacart deliveries and a porch you want monitored
- You, in Light Farms, with a long driveway and contractors who arrive regularly
- You, in Mustang Lakes, building new and wanting the security cabling pulled during framing
- You, who has small kids and wants visibility on every entrance without being intrusive about it
The Questions People Actually Ask.
We live in gated Windsong Ranch. Do we still need a front-gate camera?
The community gate handles strangers, but it does not record who is at your specific door or driveway. A personal arrival camera shows you the contractor, the delivery, the friend who got buzzed through. Most of our Windsong installs include exactly that — gate arrival plus porch plus rear-gate.
Our Light Farms doorbell is wireless and we are tired of changing the battery. Better option?
A wired doorbell powered from the existing chime transformer. It never needs a battery, it pushes alerts instantly instead of waiting for the cloud, and the video quality is meaningfully better. The retrofit is usually a one-hour job.
Do we have to pay a monthly subscription to view the cameras?
No. The system runs on your equipment and your storage. You can add professional monitoring as a separate service if you want it, but live view and recorded playback do not require a subscription — they live on your network.
Can the security plan be coordinated with the Prosper builder during framing?
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Camera locations, conduit runs, the equipment closet, and the doorbell pre-wire all happen during framing so the finished home has no surface-mounted hardware. Coordinating during the build cuts the cost roughly in half compared to a retrofit.
