New construction is the easy window for enterprise networking — and it is the one most Prosper and Celina builds miss. We coordinate with your Windsong Ranch or Star Trail builder during framing to pull Cat6A and conduit to every access point location, every TV mount, every camera, every keypad, every desk. The equipment closet is sized correctly for the rack, the switching, and the UPS. By the time drywall closes, the home has a wired backbone behind every WiFi node, multi-gig switching, and the kind of segmentation that holds up against the actual number of devices your family will live with.
The math on this is simple. A Light Farms new build with thirty connected devices today will have one hundred in five years. Doing the wiring once, during framing, while the walls are open is the cost of a single appliance. Retrofitting the same network into a finished home is the cost of a kitchen remodel. We pre-wire so the network grows with the household instead of having to be rebuilt every time a new family member or new device shows up. The conduit goes in once, while the cost is the price of an appliance.

How We Do It in Prosper & Celina
A pre-construction network plan — Before framing, we sit with you and your Prosper or Celina builder to mark every access point, every wired drop, every camera location, and the equipment closet on the architectural set.
Pre-drywall Cat6A and conduit pulls — During framing, we pull Cat6A to every location and conduit to anywhere we want future capacity. The runs land cleanly in the equipment closet.
Equipment closet design and rack sizing — A properly sized closet with ventilation, power, and rack-mount space for the switching, the firewall, the access controllers, and the UPS. Not a coat closet.
Enterprise hardware specification — WatchGuard or Ubiquiti enterprise-class access points, multi-gig switching, segmented VLANs. Sized for the device count your family will actually run.
Move-in commissioning — On move-in week the network comes online fully commissioned — every access point tuned for the room it sits in, VLANs assigned, quality-of-service rules in place.
Six-month and twelve-month tunes — We come back twice during the first year, review the actual usage data, and refine. Most new Prosper and Celina households add devices and zones in the first year that the original plan should accommodate.

The Questions People Actually Ask.
Our Windsong Ranch builder includes WiFi. Why do we need a separate network plan?
Builder packages are usually one consumer router, no wired backbone, and no enterprise switching. They cover a fraction of a six-thousand-square-foot home and they cannot grow with the device count your family will accumulate. Pre-wiring an enterprise network during framing is roughly a tenth the cost of retrofitting one into a finished home.
How early should you be involved in a Star Trail build?
Before framing if possible, and absolutely before drywall. The Cat6A pulls, the conduit, and the equipment closet decisions all happen during rough-in. If you bring us in after drywall, the wiring becomes a retrofit and the cost roughly triples.
We have a pool pavilion planned in our Mustang Lakes build. Can it share the same network?
Yes. We run Cat6A or fiber to the pavilion during the trenching that is already happening for water and electrical. The pavilion gets its own access point, the patio TV gets a wired drop, and the outdoor system performs the way the indoor one does.
Will the network really need to handle one hundred devices in five years?
For most Light Farms families, yes. Phones, tablets, laptops, TVs, doorbells, cameras, thermostats, locks, lights, appliances, EV charger, garage opener, kids' devices — modern households cross fifty devices in year one and one hundred is a normal five-year number.
